This event is for 1-5 people (limit 5 people max) in one session.

How: We connect online via Zoom with your smartphone. Naturally, everyone in the group needs to be in the same place at the same time. During the session, I will work with you to take fun photos of you from your smartphone during the Zoom session. These are called screenshots. One of these screenshots will be turned into a work of art!

One 30-min. session. Afterward, you get a gallery to view & download the unedited screenshots taken during the session. Keep in mind that the screenshots are not high quality. Next, you will pick 1 final photo and I then edit the photo with a fun artistic effect. You will also get to download the final image.

Technical requirements

Lighting:
You must be in a well-lit space. But, with no bright windows or lamps behind you.

Background:
Should be plain & boring. Example: a white or plain wall or a plain backyard backdrop could work (no clutter). Note: because I use Zoom, you must turn off virtual backgrounds.

Motion:
Keep the camera completely still. No handholding the camera & no friends holding the camera. Please set your smartphone on a solid surface like a table or a shelf. This means that your smartphone will need a stand or a kickstand so that you can move it without holding it.

Quality:
Smartphones are usually best. Unfortunately, too often webcams produce pixelated images.

Height:
Try to get your smartphone high, near eye level. Otherwise, the angle will look strange if the camera is lower than you are.
